Dussehra 2026 – A Vibrant Cultural Celebration for All
Join the Bolton Hindu Forum for a joyful, family‑oriented celebration of Dussehra 2026 on Tuesday 20th October at 6:00pm, hosted at the Bolton Indian Sports Club. This annual festival is one of the most significant events in the Hindu calendar, symbolising the victory of good over evil through the story of Lord Rama and the defeat of Ravana. It’s a wonderful opportunity for children and families to learn, connect, and celebrate culture together in a welcoming environment open to all backgrounds.
This year’s event proudly features the only Ravan Dahan in the Northwest, where the grand effigy of Ravana will be lit at 7:00pm, followed by spectacular fireworks that light up the night sky. Families can enjoy delicious food stalls, a face painter for children, and a delightful Ram Leela performance by VHP Kids, bringing the epic tale of the Ramayana to life in a fun and educational way.
Entry is just £2.50 per person, with under‑5s attending for free. Tickets can be purchased in advance or paid for at the door, making it easy for everyone to join in.
Come together with the community for an evening filled with culture, learning, celebration, and joy. We look forward to welcoming you and your family to Dussehra 2026.
